Overlake I and III were two separate land parcels set in amongst the trees in the Overlake area of Bellevue, Washington.  Tentative plans were made to develop office buildings on these sites.  Although the Overlake area straddles the boundaries of Bellevue and Redmond, it is considered to have its own identity separately from both of these cities.  Overlake gets its name from the fact that it is located across Lake Washington from Seattle.  At one point in time, all of the Eastside was named Overlake, so some landmarks such as Overlake Hospital and the Overlake Country Club derived their names from that fact.  These sites are close to Lake Sammamish and the Sammamish Trail System as well.
